Thermal derating and panel integration
The 3VA1132-5EF36-0HA0: The 32 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 50 °C, then drops only 1 A per 5 °C step — 31 A at 55 °C, 30 A at 70 °C. That means in a warm enclosure you lose almost nothing. Dimensions are 130 mm high × 76.2 mm wide × 70 mm deep, so it fits a standard 3-pole MCCB slot on the DIN rail or panel-mount footprint. Power dissipation is 10.6 W maximum — manageable in a sealed box but worth counting if you stack several breakers in a row.
Shunt trip and release design
This order code includes a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release — voltage-triggered remote tripping for emergency-stop circuits or supervisory control. There is no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, and no communication function built in. The base switch variant is 3VA11325EF360AA0. If your BOM calls for undervoltage protection or ground-fault, you need a different suffix.
Operating environment and storage
Runs from -25 °C to 70 °C ambient; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. That covers most industrial control panels, including unheated warehouses and outdoor enclosures in temperate climates.
