What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-5GD46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated at 32 A continuous current, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release — the fixed thermal element and magnetic trip set at 320 A short-circuit release. At 240 V it interrupts 187 kA; at 415 V, 121 kA; at 440 V, 75.6 kA; at 500 V and 690 V, 17 kA. That means it can handle high fault currents on a 240 V secondary or a 415 V industrial feeder without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) gives headroom for 690 V networks. Line protection version — no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module, no measurement function. The front face carries IP40 protection; the breaker is designed for panel-mount installation in a standard enclosure. Optional motor drive available for remote switching.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
Rated current holds at 32 A up to 50 °C, then derates to 31 A at 55 °C and 60 °C, and 30 A at 65 °C and 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — say, a crowded enclosure near a furnace line — factor that 2 A drop at the top end. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 10.6 W.
Panel fit and dimensions
Width 101.6 mm (4 in), height 130 mm (5.12 in), depth 70 mm (2.76 in). That 70 mm depth is shallow enough for a 200 mm deep enclosure with room for wiring gutters. N-conductor protection is 100% rated — the neutral pole is full-size, not reduced. No communication function, so no extra wiring for bus or gateway.
