Breaking capacity and selectivity
The 3VA1132-6EF32-0AH0: Breaking capacity drops with voltage: 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V. That 17 kA floor at 690 V is the limiting case for coordination studies — if your fault current at the panel exceeds that, you need a higher-rated frame upstream. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release provides fixed thermal and magnetic trip thresholds, suitable for cable and busbar protection where adjustable electronic releases aren't required.
Physical fit and auxiliaries
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that mounts on a DIN rail or panel base. The 70 mm depth is the dimension to check against enclosure gland-plate clearance. Comes with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ) factory-fitted. The basic switch order code is 3VA11326EF320AA0, which is the bare breaker without auxiliaries — this variant includes them pre-assembled.
Thermal derating and operating range
Rated current holds at 32 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 31 A at 55–60 °C and 30 A at 65–70 °C. Maximum power loss is 10.6 W. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C.
