What this MCCB delivers
The SENTRON 3VA1132-6EF36-0AB0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) from the 3VA series, designed for line protection with a TM240 thermal-magnetic release. Rated current is 32 A across the 40 °C to 50 °C ambient range, derating to 30 A at 70 °C — so it holds full rating in a warm panel but give it breathing room if the enclosure runs hot. Breaking capacity is the headline here: 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and still 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V. That means it handles high fault currents without cascading upstream — critical for main or feeder breakers in high-capacity distribution. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and power loss maxes at 10.6 W — modest for a 32 A frame, so heat buildup in a crowded DIN-rail enclosure is manageable.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. Width is important — 76.2 mm is three 25.4 mm pole pitches, so it occupies standard MCCB footprint on a DIN rail. Depth at 70 mm clears most shallow enclosures. The breaker ships with two auxiliary switches (HP design) factory-fitted — no need to order separate add-on blocks for status feedback to a PLC or indication lamp. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication function — this is a straightforward line-protection breaker for panels where those extras aren't required. Trip indicator is also absent; fault diagnosis relies on the auxiliary switch state or visual inspection.
