SENTRON 3VA1132-6EF46-0AA0 — MCCB for line protection
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-6EF46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection. It carries a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release and is rated for 32 A continuous current at ambient temperatures from 40 °C up to 50 °C, with minor derating to 30 A at 70 °C — useful to know when the breaker sits in a warm panel next to other heat sources. Breaking capacity is 220 kA at 240 V, dropping to 154 kA at 415 V and 121 kA at 440 V. At 500 V and 690 V it holds 17 kA — still substantial for most distribution boards, but the steep drop means you need to verify the available fault current at your system voltage before specifying this breaker into a high-voltage tap.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 101.6 mm wide, 70 mm deep, 130 mm tall — a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures without surprises. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating, adequate for a clean indoor panel but not for washdown areas.
