The Siemens 3VA1140-3ED32-0AA0-ZD00 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 circuit breaker with a 40 A fixed thermal overload setting (Ir=40 A) and fixed short-circuit pickup at 10× In (Ii=10×In). The TM210 trip unit provides line protection — thermal-magnetic, non-adjustable on the magnetic side.
The 3VA1 frame snaps onto standard DIN rail; the 3-pole footprint takes up three modular units of width. Panel builders should note the fixed Ir and Ii — no dials to set, which speeds commissioning but locks the protection curve to the 40 A design.
