MCCB for line protection — 40 A, 3-pole, TM240 release
It carries a continuous current rating of 40 A from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient, derating to 37 A at 70 °C — so the 40 A frame holds its full rating across typical panel ambient conditions without oversizing. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release provides fixed overload and short-circuit protection; no voltage trigger or undervoltage release is fitted on this variant. The 3-pole configuration suits three-phase line feeders. Interrupting capacity reaches 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, and 32 kA at 440 V — this gives headroom for high-fault installations downstream of large transformers.
Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width (3 in), and 70 mm depth (2.76 in) — fits standard SENTRON 3VA panel cutouts and busbar systems. Maximum power loss is 10.8 W, which should be factored into enclosure thermal calculations.
For BOM freeze or panel builds requiring documented traceability, Siemens provides the standard SENTRON declaration pack (RoHS, REACH, CE, UL/CSA) on request. The part carries no communication module, ground-fault monitoring, or undervoltage release — it is a straight thermal-magnetic line protection device.
