The Siemens 3VA1140-4ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 40 A continuous at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit for line protection. It delivers 121 kA interrupting capacity at 240 VAC — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries — and still clears 75.6 kA at 415 VAC and 52.5 kA at 440 VAC. The TM210 design means thermal protection against sustained overloads and magnetic instantaneous trip for short-circuits; no communication function or ground-fault monitoring on this variant.
