What this MCCB carries and what it means for your panel
The 3VA1140-4EF42-0AA0-ZD00: The neutral conductor is unprotected on this variant — the breaker switches the three phases and leaves the N solid. That is the intended configuration for a 4-pole breaker feeding a TN-S or TN-C-S system where the neutral is bonded to ground and does not require overcurrent protection; if your design requires a protected neutral (e.g., for an IT system or a separately derived source), you need a different 3VA1 order code with an N-pole release.
Integration notes for the panel builder
The 3VA1 frame 160 mounts on a standard DIN rail or can be screw-fixed to a backplate. The nut keeper kit (included per the order-code suffix) retains the terminal nuts during wiring — a practical detail when the panel is built on a bench and then shipped: the nuts do not rattle loose in transit. The breaker ships with the TM240 thermal-magnetic trip unit already installed; no separate trip-unit purchase is needed.
