What this breaker is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1140-6ED42-0AA0-ZD00 is a 4-pole IEC frame 160 molded case circuit breaker with a 70 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class H). It's set up for line protection with a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit, fixed at 40 A overload (Ir=40 A) and short-circuit pickup at 10× In. The neutral pole is unprotected — that's intentional for certain distribution schemes where the neutral is not switched or is separately protected.
Where it fits in a panel
This breaker mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-fixed into a panel. The 4-pole footprint takes up the same width as a standard 4-pole MCCB — plan your gland plate and fill factor accordingly. The nut keeper kit is included for DC Power OEM builds in China, so if you're wiring into a DC bus or inverter cabinet, those captive nuts save time on assembly.
