The Siemens 3VA1140-6GE42-0AA0-ZD00 is a 4-pole IEC frame 160 molded case circuit breaker with a 40 A rated current and a 70 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class H). The thermal-magnetic TM220 trip unit provides adjustable overload protection from 28 A to 40 A and a fixed short-circuit pickup of 10 x In. It includes 100% N-conductor protection and a nut keeper kit, and is built as a DC Power OEM variant for the China market.
The TM220 thermal-magnetic trip gives you a fixed magnetic pickup at 400 A (10 x 40 A), so it coordinates well with downstream branch breakers on a selective coordination study. The adjustable thermal Ir band (28–40 A) lets you dial in the exact cable or load rating without swapping the trip unit. The 100% N-conductor protection means the neutral pole is fully rated and tripped with the phase poles — required for 4-wire systems where neutral overcurrent is possible (e.g., harmonic-rich loads or shared neutrals). The nut keeper kit is a mechanical detail for panel builders: it retains the terminal nuts during wiring, saving time on assembly.
