At 55 °C it drops to 49 A, at 60 °C to 48 A, and at 70 °C to 45 A. That's a gentle slope compared to some older MCCB designs that start derating at 40 °C. If your panel runs hot near a drive or transformer, this one gives you a few degrees of headroom before you have to down-rate the circuit. The maximum power loss is 14.6 W at rated current — modest enough that adjacent breakers in a multi-pole group won't thermally crowd each other.

This breaker's interrupting capacity varies significantly with system voltage — a key point when specifying for multi-voltage installations. At 240 V AC it clears 75.6 kA; at 415 V AC it's 52.5 kA; at 440 V AC it's 32 kA; and at 500 V and 690 V AC it drops to 11.9 kA. That last figure still covers most motor branch circuits at 690 V, but for high-fault utility feeds at 480 V you'll want to verify your available fault current against the 32 kA at 440 V.
Dimensions are 101.6 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA frame size that fits Siemens distribution panels and most third-party enclosures with a DIN-rail or screw-mount adapter. The IP40 front protection means it's suitable for indoor panel mounting where no water spray is present. An optional motor drive is available for remote tripping or re-closing applications.
