Temperature derating — the real-world current
The 3VA1150-4EF32-0AF0: Rated 50 A all the way to 50 °C ambient. At 55 °C it's 48 A, at 60 °C it's 47 A, and at 70 °C it's 45 A. That's a gentle slope — you don't lose much headroom until the panel gets truly hot. The TM240 release is adjustable for the long-time pickup, so you can dial it to match the load without swapping the breaker.
Panel fit and auxiliary contacts
Mounts on a DIN rail or panel-mount base. The 70 mm depth means it won't crowd the gland plate in a shallow enclosure. Comes with one auxiliary switch and one trip alarm switch HQ — that's enough to signal the PLC that the breaker tripped without a separate alarm module. IP40 on the front keeps dust out of the handle mechanism; fine for a clean indoor panel, but don't hose it down.
