What this MCCB carries — and what it doesn't
The 3VA1150-4EF32-0BH0: The TM240 release is a fixed thermal-magnetic type — no interchangeable trip units, no electronic adjustments. That makes it a straight line-protection breaker for fixed-load feeders, not a selective-maintenance tool. Undervoltage release (UVR) is built in, so it drops the load if supply voltage falls below the dropout threshold. Auxiliary contact block carries 2 form-C aux switches plus 1 separate trip-alarm switch (HQ type) — enough to signal position and fault status back to a PLC or annunciator.
Panel fit and thermal budget
Footprint is 76.2 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB envelope. No special cutout; mounts on a DIN rail or panel plate. The IP40 front face keeps dust out of the enclosure but expects a clean, dry cabinet — not a washdown environment. Current derating is flat from 40 °C to 50 °C at 50 A, then drops to 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C, you lose 1 A per 5 °C step — plan the enclosure ventilation or uprate the frame if the load is marginal. Storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C, operating range -25 °C to 70 °C.
