Interrupting capacity and thermal derating — the numbers that decide fit
The 3VA1150-5EF32-0JH0: Thermal derating is flat from 40 °C to 50 °C — still 50 A — then drops to 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. That's a 10 % reduction from nominal by the time the enclosure hits 70 °C. If this breaker lands in a non-ventilated panel next to a transformer or drive, plan the fill factor so the ambient at the breaker stays under 50 °C to hold the full 50 A rating.
Integrated accessories — what ships on the frame
This variant comes factory-fitted with a shunt trip release (STL) for remote tripping, plus 2 auxiliary switches and 1 trip alarm switch HQ — that's the HQ contact configuration, not the standard auxiliary-only block. The integrated auxiliary trip is a separate orderable sub-assembly (3VA9688-0BL32) if you ever need a replacement. No undervoltage release, no communication module, no phase-failure detection on this build; it's a straight line-protection MCCB with remote trip capability and status feedback.
Panel fit and lifecycle posture
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for the 3VA frame. Front protection is IP40, suitable for dry indoor panels. Lifecycle stage is current.
