What this MCCB brings to the panel
The Siemens 3VA1150-5EF32-0KH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker built for line protection in 3-pole distribution. It's rated 50 A continuous at 40 °C and holds that rating up to 50 °C ambient — above that it derates to 49 A at 55 °C and 45 A at 70 °C, so if your panel runs hot you need to account for the thermal curve. Breaking capacity scales with system voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V or 690 V. That's serious fault-clearing muscle — enough for high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries where a standard MCCB would weld shut. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit a standard distribution panel. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V.
Panel fit and integration
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base (footprint 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall). The 70 mm depth leaves room for wiring gutters. Power loss at full load is 14.6 W. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. The trip indicator and voltage trigger are both present, so you get visual and electrical status feedback for the control system.
