That interrupting capacity drops to 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V or 690 V — so it handles high-available-fault commercial and industrial services without cascading upstream. Thermal derating is mild: it holds 50 A through 50 °C, then drops to 49 A at 55 °C, 48 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C (–). That means in a 50 °C panel ambient — common in enclosed switchgear — you still get full ampacity.
Auxiliary and release configuration — shunt trip, two aux switches, trip alarm
The basic switch assembly is order code 3VA11505EF360AA0. For a panel that needs remote open via a PLC or E-stop contact, the shunt trip covers it without adding a separate relay.
That 76.2 mm width (3 inches) is the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for the 3VA frame — it drops into the same mounting hole pattern and bus-bar spacing as other 3VA three-pole units.
