The Siemens 3VA1150-6EF32-0AE0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 50 A continuous at 40 °C, with the TM240 thermal-magnetic release handling the overload and short-circuit protection. At 415 V it still interrupts 154 kA, dropping to 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V respectively, giving you selectivity headroom across common industrial voltages.
Thermal derating and real-world loading
At 55 °C it drops to 49 A, then 48 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot near other heat sources, you still get 45 A at the upper operating limit. The max power loss is 14.6 W, manageable for a DIN-rail enclosure without forced cooling.
The 3-pole design with 4 auxiliary switches (HQ type) gives you plenty of status feedback for PLC or HMI inputs. Insulation voltage rated at 800 V, operating range from -25 °C to 70 °C, storage from -40 °C to 80 °C.
