Breaking capacity and derating
The 3VA1150-6EF32-0DA0: The interrupting rating is 220 kA at 240 V AC, stepping down to 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That 17 kA floor at 690 V is the limiting case for high-voltage industrial feeds — if your fault current at 690 V exceeds that, this breaker is not the right pick. The continuous current derates from 50 A at 40 °C to 45 A at 70 °C; the curve is flat through 50 °C, then drops one amp per 5 °C step. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so the internal clearances handle 690 V line-to-line without issue.
Panel fit and integration
Footprint is 130 mm tall by 76.2 mm wide by 70 mm deep — a 3-inch wide, 5.12-inch tall body that fits standard MCCB panel cutouts. The 3-pole block takes three phase conductors plus the neutral if your system needs it; the undervoltage release is factory-fitted, so no field wiring of a separate UVR module. Maximum power loss at rated current is 17.1 W — account for that in enclosed panel thermal calculations if you're packing several breakers in a row.
