What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1150-6EF36-0BC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 50 A continuous current (Iu) with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Its interrupting capacity hits 220 kA at 240 V AC, 154 kA at 415 V, and 121 kA at 440 V — numbers that tell you this breaker is sized for high-fault panels where upstream coordination demands serious headroom. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit standard SENTRON panel footprints; the IP40 front protection keeps dust out of the enclosure cutout.
Thermal derating and auxiliary hardware
The 50 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 48 A at 55 °C, 47 A at 60 °C, 46 A at 65 °C, and 45 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — say a sealed enclosure near a furnace line — that 45 A at 70 °C is the number to design to, not the nameplate 50 A. The breaker ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) and two HQ auxiliary switches, factory-integrated. The UVR coil drops the breaker on loss of control voltage, which is standard for emergency-stop circuits or undervoltage protection schemes.
