The Siemens 3VA1163-1AA42-0AD0 is a SENTRON switch disconnector in an MCCB-style housing (IEC frame 160), rated for 63 A continuous current across 4 poles. It provides visible isolation for a circuit — it makes and breaks load current but carries no overload or short-circuit protection. The part is designed for applications where disconnection is needed downstream of a separate protective device, such as a main breaker or fuse.
Rated continuous current Iu is 63 A — sized for a 63 A busbar tap or feeder. Max AC operational voltage is 690 V 50/60 Hz; max DC is 600 V. The 4-pole configuration allows switching of three phases plus neutral in TN or TT systems, or four-phase DC circuits.
Front terminal busbar connection matches the SENTRON busbar system. IP40 on the front.
Auxiliary contacts and options
Comes with 3 auxiliary switches HQ (high-quantity, meaning multiple changeover contacts) — 3 CO contacts total. Motor drive is available as an optional add-on (product extension optional motor drive = Yes). Maximum power loss is 38 W.
