Four poles give you the option to switch the neutral or use the fourth pole for a second load circuit — common in three-phase-plus-neutral distribution or dual-feed configurations. Front-face protection is IP40 — tools and fingers are kept out, but the breaker is not sealed against hose-down or dust ingress. Mount it inside a panel with a door; it is not a standalone outdoor enclosure.
Integration and fit notes
The 70 mm depth and 101.6 mm width match the standard footprint for 4-pole SENTRON 3VA1 breakers. No special adapter plate needed for most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures — the breaker bolts directly to the mounting base with the supplied hardware. If you need undervoltage protection or remote tripping, look at the 3VA1 with the appropriate accessory slot.
