Line protection MCCB with TM240 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1163-3EF32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection, carrying a 63 A rated current at 40 °C and derating to 58 A at 70 °C. That 63 A rating holds steady through 50 °C, so in a warm panel it still delivers full ampacity without a bump in frame size. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release handles overload and short-circuit protection in one package — no separate trip unit to specify. Breaking capacity reaches 75.6 kA at 240 V, stepping down to 52.5 kA at 415 V and 11.9 kA at 690 V, which covers most industrial distribution panels and motor control center infeeds. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and the front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a clean indoor panel, but keep it out of washdown zones.
Panel fit and integration
At 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep, this MCCB fits standard Siemens 3VA1 mounting footprints. The 3-pole block occupies three adjacent slots in a distribution panel or motor control center bucket. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no communication module on this variant — it is a straight thermal-magnetic breaker for fixed applications.
