What the ratings mean for fit
The 3VA1163-5ED32-0AF0: The 63 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 60.48 A at 55 °C and 56.7 A at 70 °C — so in a warm panel you lose about 10 % of capacity at the top of the operating range. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) sets the maximum system voltage the breaker can sit in; it's not the interrupting voltage, which is the 690 V line where the 17 kA figure applies. The TM210 release means the thermal element is fixed at 63 A (no adjustable thermal band), but the magnetic short-circuit pickup is adjustable via the front dial. The 1 s adjustable time delay (tr max.) on the thermal curve lets you coordinate with downstream breakers on feeder circuits.
Panel integration notes
The breaker measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep. It mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-fixed to a backplate. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating — suitable for enclosed panel use, not for washdown environments. Auxiliary contact configuration is 1 aux switch + 1 trip alarm switch (HQ type), which gives a separate signal for the breaker position and a dedicated alarm on trip. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no communication module fitted on this variant.
