What this MCCB is rated for
The Siemens 3VA1163-5ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 63 A continuous at 40 °C ambient, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit onboard. That 63 A holds flat through 50 °C, then derates to 62 A at 55 °C, 61 A at 60 °C, 60 A at 65 °C, and 58 A at 70 °C — so in a hot panel you lose about 8 % at the top end. Interrupting capacity is the headline here: 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V.
Dimensions are 130 mm tall, 101.6 mm wide, 70 mm deep — the 4-pole width is roughly 4 inches, so it occupies one standard 4-module DIN-rail slot plus a sliver. The 17.3 W maximum power loss means ventilation in a sealed cabinet matters if you stack several breakers side by side.
The 3VA series is in active current production — no end-of-life notice has been issued. This is a standard catalog line, not a phased-out or NRND variant.
