The Siemens 3VA1163-5EF42-0AA0-ZD00 is a 4-pole IEC molded case circuit breaker in the 3VA1 series, built on the 160 A frame with a class M breaking capacity — 55 kA at 415 V AC. That 55 kA figure is the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt without welding contacts or rupturing the case, which makes it suitable for high-fault-capacity panelboards and distribution switchboards where the available short-circuit current is substantial. The thermal-magnetic TM240 trip unit gives adjustable overload protection (Ir = 44 A to 63 A) and fixed short-circuit protection (Ii = 5 to 10 × In). The N conductor is unprotected on this variant, and it ships with a nut keeper kit for DC Power OEM applications in China.
