What this 3VA1 breaker carries
The Siemens 3VA1163-5MH32-0AF0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 molded case circuit breaker with a 63 A thermal-magnetic trip unit (TM120M, adjustable magnetic release Ii=5...15 x In). Its breaking capacity class M gives it an Icu of 55 kA at 415 V AC — that means it can safely clear a fault up to that level without welding its contacts or rupturing the arc chamber, which is the figure that governs your panel's SCCR headroom. This variant is configured for starter protection: the TM120M trip provides short-circuit-only protection (no overload function), so it pairs with a separate overload relay ahead of a motor starter.
What's in the box
The order code includes a nut keeper kit (for captive mounting hardware on the panel gland plate) and two auxiliary contacts: one HQ auxiliary switch and one HQ trip alarm switch. These are factory-fitted, so you don't need to order them separately or open the breaker cover. The 3VA1 frame snaps onto a DIN rail or can be screw-mounted; the nut keeper kit simplifies panel integration when you're working inside a tight enclosure.
