The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1163-6EF32-0CC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying a continuous current Iu of 63 A across ambient temperatures from 40 °C to 50 °C without derating. At 55 °C it still holds 60.48 A, and at 70 °C it maintains 56.7 A — so in a warm panel you lose less than 10 % of the rating. The TM240 overcurrent release is fixed-thermal-magnetic, meaning no adjustment dials; the trip curve is set at the factory.
Breaking capacity and coordination
This MCCB delivers 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. Those are the maximum interrupting ratings at each voltage — the actual available fault current on your bus must be lower for the breaker to clear safely. The 415 V figure (154 kA) is the one most panel builders will check for IEC 60947-2 compliance in a 400 V distribution board. The 690 V rating (17 kA) is notably lower; if your system runs 690 V with high fault potential, verify the SCCR before specifying.
