The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1163-6EF36-0DC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 63 A continuously at 40 °C and delivering a 220 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V. That rating means it can safely clear a bolted fault up to 220 kA without welding its contacts or rupturing the case — critical for high-available-fault-current panels like those near a transformer secondary. The 63 A continuous rating holds from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 58 A at 70 °C, so it fits standard 60 A feeder circuits in warm enclosures.
Mounts on a DIN rail or panel-mount base; the 76.2 mm width (3 in) and 70 mm depth (2.76 in) fit standard 600 mm wide distribution panels with room for side-by-side breakers. The 130 mm height (5.12 in) clears most deadfront covers without a spacer.
Includes an undervoltage release (UVR) that trips the breaker when supply voltage drops below a set threshold — useful for preventing motor restart after a brownout. Two HQ auxiliary switches provide status feedback to a PLC or annunciator. Insulation voltage rated 800 V, so the breaker can be used in 690 V line-to-line systems (where its interrupting capacity is 17 kA).
