63 A MCCB with TM240 release and shunt trip
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1163-6EF36-0HC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for a continuous current Iu of 63 A at 45 °C and 50 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release and an integrated shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release. The interrupting capacity reaches 220 kA at 240 VAC, 154 kA at 415 VAC, and 121 kA at 440 VAC, with a 17 kA rating at 690 VAC. The insulation voltage Ui is rated at 800 V, and the maximum DC operational voltage Ue is 500 V. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The 63 A rating holds at 45 °C and 50 °C, then derates to 60.48 A at 55 °C, 59.22 A at 60 °C, 57.96 A at 65 °C, and 56.7 A at 70 °C. The operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C. Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, and 70 mm depth — the 70 mm depth is the dimension from the mounting plane to the front of the breaker, which governs clearance behind a gland plate or enclosure door. The 76.2 mm width is a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for DIN-rail or screw-mount panel integration.
Built-in auxiliary switches and shunt trip
This version includes 2 auxiliary switches (HQ type) and a shunt trip (STL) as the auxiliary release. The shunt trip allows remote tripping via a voltage trigger signal. There is no undervoltage release, no communication function, no phase failure detection, and no ground-fault monitoring. The trip indicator is not present on this variant. The supplied basic switch order code is 3VA11636EF360AA0, and the integrated auxiliary trip unit order code is 3VA9688-0BL30.
