What this 63 A MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1163-6GD46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated at 63 A continuous — the same figure at 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C, then derating to 62 A at 55 °C, 61 A at 60 °C, 60 A at 65 °C, and 58 A at 70 °C. That flat thermal curve means you can load it to 63 A in most panel environments without headroom padding. Interrupting capacity hits 220 kA at 240 V, drops to 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. The TM210 overcurrent release handles the thermal-magnetic trip curve — no electronic trip unit, no communication function, no voltage trigger or undervoltage release on this variant.
Panel fit and integration
Footprint is 101.6 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep — a standard 4-pole MCCB width that slots into SENTRON panelboards and distribution blocks without adaptor plates. IP40 on the front face keeps dust out of the enclosure; the rest of the breaker is rated for the panel interior. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it can sit on a 690 V bus with margin. Maximum power loss is 17.3 W — factor that into enclosure thermal calculations if you're packing multiple breakers in a sealed cabinet.
