What this MCCB gives you
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1180-3EE32-0HC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 80 A at 40 °C, with a breaking capacity of 75.6 kA at 240 V. It's designed for line protection — think feeder or main breaker duty in a distribution panel. The 80 A rating holds steady up to 50 °C; at 55 °C it derates to 78 A, and at 70 °C it's still good for 74 A. That thermal curve means you can run it near full load in a warm enclosure without oversizing. Breaking capacity steps down with system voltage: 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That covers most industrial distribution voltages — the 690 V figure matters for 600 V class North American systems as well. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's comfortable on 480/277 V or 400/230 V panels.
Footprint is 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a compact 3-pole MCCB that fits standard DIN-rail or panel-mount layouts. The auxiliary switch block comes populated with two HQ auxiliary switches, and the shunt trip (STL) is factory-fitted.
