Its 80 A continuous rating holds across 40 °C to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 78 A at 55 °C, 77 A at 60 °C, 75 A at 65 °C, and 74 A at 70 °C — useful when the breaker sits in a crowded enclosure where internal temperature runs above the standard 40 °C calibration point. Four poles handle three-phase plus neutral, or two independent circuits in a single frame. Breaking capacity is voltage-dependent: 75.6 kA at 240 V, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. For a 480 V delta service (typical 277/480 V wye), the 32 kA at 440 V figure is the closest published point; an engineer coordinating upstream should use the 500 V value (11.9 kA) as the conservative bound for 480 V applications.
