Ratings and what they mean for the panel

For a panel builder, that means the breaker can be loaded to its nameplate in most ventilated enclosures, but a hot corner near the top of a sealed cabinet needs the thermal curve checked. The TM240 release is a fixed thermal-magnetic design — no electronic adjustment, no communication, no ground-fault module — so it suits straightforward line protection where the trip curve is set at the factory and the panel schedule doesn't change. Interrupting capacity at 690 V drops to 11.9 kA, which is typical for a 3-pole MCCB on a 690 V line — the series is optimized for 400–480 V distribution where the high fault currents live. The auxiliary contact configuration ships as two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ type), giving the PLC or BMS a dedicated alarm signal on a trip event without extra wiring.
