What this breaker is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1180-5ED32-0AA0-ZD00 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 molded-case circuit breaker with a 55 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class M). It is configured for line protection with a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit: overload protection set fixed at 80 A (Ir = 80 A) and short-circuit protection at 10× In (Ii = 10 × 80 A = 800 A). A nut keeper kit is included for DC Power OEM applications in China.
Ratings and what they mean for fit
The 55 kA Icu at 415 V means this breaker can safely interrupt a fault current up to 55,000 A without welding its contacts or rupturing the case — critical for high-fault installations like transformer secondaries or large motor control centers. The fixed 80 A Ir suits dedicated loads (a 75–80 A continuous motor or feeder) where you don't need adjustable overloads. The 10× In short-circuit pickup (Ii) is standard for motor branch circuits, allowing inrush without nuisance tripping.
Where it fits in the panel
The 3VA1 frame mounts in standard panel or enclosure cutouts; the nut keeper kit simplifies DC-side OEM wiring in Chinese-built power cabinets. No DIN-rail snap-on here — it's a bolted-frame breaker for fixed installation.
