80 A, 4-pole MCCB with TM220 release — active production, high interrupting capacity
The 3VA1180-5EE46-0AA0: Breaking capacity is the headline here: 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. Those numbers mean it can safely interrupt very high fault currents at common distribution voltages — useful downstream of large transformers or in high-fault-capacity industrial grids where a standard MCB would weld shut. Current rating holds flat at 80 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates gradually to 74 A at 70 °C. An optional motor drive is available for remote operation.
Lifecycle status is current — this is an active, in-production catalog number from Siemens.
Dimensions are 101.6 mm wide (4 in), 130 mm tall (5.12 in), and 70 mm deep (2.76 in). That 4-pole width is the main panel-space constraint — it's wider than a 3-pole equivalent.
