Thermal derating and operating range
The 3VA1180-5EF36-0JH0: The 80 A rating holds from 40 °C through 50 °C. Above that, it derates: 78 A at 55 °C, 77 A at 60 °C, 75 A at 65 °C, and 74 A at 70 °C. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the continuous current capability drops — factor that into the load schedule.
Integrated accessories and release options
This variant ships with a shunt trip release (STL) for remote tripping and a configurable auxiliary switch block: 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ). It does not include an undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring. The basic switch supplied is 3VA11805EF360AA0. Communication function is not fitted — this is a standalone line-protection breaker, not a metering or networked unit.
Dimensions and panel fit
Footprint is 76.2 mm wide (3 in), 130 mm tall (5.12 in), 70 mm deep (2.76 in). Three-pole construction. Mounts into a standard SENTRON panelboard or distribution enclosure; the 70 mm depth leaves clearance for rear-connected busbars in most shallow enclosures. Trip indicator and voltage trigger are present.
