Thermal derating is published across the full operating range: the breaker holds 80 A continuously at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, then steps down to 76.8 A at 55 °C, 75.2 A at 60 °C, 73.6 A at 65 °C, and 72 A at 70 °C. For a panel builder coordinating with upstream devices, these derated values are the ones that matter for avoiding nuisance tripping in a warm enclosure.

The 3VA1180-6EF36-0AB0 measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep. Front-face protection is IP40. It ships with 2 auxiliary switches (HP type) built in — no separate auxiliary release is fitted. Ground fault monitoring is absent.
