Thermal derating — the real-world current you can count on
At 55 °C it drops to 155.6 A, at 60 °C to 151.2 A, at 65 °C to 146.8 A, and at 70 °C to 142.4 A. For a panel that runs warm — say 55 °C ambient inside the enclosure — you lose about 4.4 A off the nameplate. That matters when sizing for a continuous load near the limit; the breaker won't nuisance-trip, but the margin shrinks.
