SENTRON 3VA1 MCCB — 160 A, 4-Pole, TM240 Release
The 3VA1216-6GF42-0AA0: Interrupting capacity varies sharply with system voltage: 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, 30 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. At 240 V the 220 kA figure covers virtually any fault a 160 A frame will see — high available fault current is the main reason you spec this breaker over a smaller-frame MCCB. Current-carrying capacity holds flat at 160 A from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 156 A at 55 °C, 151 A at 60 °C, 147 A at 65 °C, and 142 A at 70 °C. In a warm panel — say 50 °C internal ambient — you still get full 160 A; above that the derating curve governs the actual load you can hang on it.
Front IP40 protection; the breaker accepts optional motor drive accessories for remote operation. N-conductor protection is 100% rated — the fourth pole is fully rated, not a switched neutral. Maximum power loss 33 W at rated current.
