Interrupting capacity — what those numbers mean for your fault level
At 240 V it's rated 121 kA, at 415 V it's 75.6 kA, at 440 V it's 52.5 kA, at 500 V it's 17 kA, and at 690 V it's 11.9 kA. The 121 kA at 240 V covers most North American 240 V distribution; the 75.6 kA at 415 V handles heavy European industrial supplies.
Thermal derating — don't let the 200 A sticker fool you
The 200 A rating holds up to 50 °C ambient. Above that, the continuous current must be derated: 194 A at 55 °C, 188 A at 60 °C, 182 A at 65 °C, and 176 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs hot — near a drive cabinet or in a non-climate-controlled enclosure — factor the derating into your load schedule. The breaker's power loss is 44.5 W maximum, so it dumps heat into the enclosure; that heat adds to the internal ambient.
Panel fit and auxiliary options
Dimensions: 70 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 158 mm high. The breaker ships with two auxiliary switches (HQ type) and an undervoltage release (UVR) pre-installed. The basic switch assembly is order code 3VA12204EF320AA0.
