What this 200 A 4-pole MCCB delivers
The Siemens 3VA1220-4GF42-0AJ0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 200 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic trip unit — that's the fixed thermal element and magnetic short-circuit release tuned for line protection, not motor or generator duty. Four poles handle three-phase plus neutral, with 100% N-conductor protection designed in (no derating on the neutral pole). Breaking capacity runs 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 25 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V — so it's sized for high-fault industrial panels where the upstream transformer can deliver serious current. The front face carries IP40 protection, fine for a clean indoor enclosure; the auxiliary contact block ships as 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch, giving you both status and fault signalling without adding a separate module.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 158 mm high, 140 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a compact footprint for a 200 A frame. Mounts on a standard DIN rail or direct panel-mount via the screw terminals. The 70 mm depth leaves room for wiring behind the breaker in a 200 mm deep enclosure. Auxiliary contacts are pre-wired to the terminal block; the trip alarm switch (HP) gives a separate signal for remote annunciation, which saves a control relay in the panel.
