What this breaker delivers on the panel
The Siemens 3VA1220-5MH32-0BF0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 250 circuit breaker rated 200 A with a breaking capacity class M — Icu=55 kA at 415 V AC. That 55 kA interrupting rating means it clears high-fault currents in a main distribution panel or motor control center without upstream fuses needing to open first, saving coordination engineering. It ships with a TM120M thermal-magnetic release (fixed thermal, adjustable magnetic) and a 24 V DC undervoltage release as a factory-fitted accessory. The magnetic pickup is adjustable 6–14× In, so on a 200 A frame you set the instantaneous trip between 1200 A and 2800 A — wide enough to ride through motor inrush on a large compressor or pump start.
What is included in the assembly
The order code includes the circuit breaker body, a nut keeper kit for the panel-mounting screws, the 24 V DC undervoltage release, and one auxiliary switch (changeover contact). The undervoltage release trips the breaker when control voltage drops below about 18 V — standard for safety circuits that need a guaranteed dropout on power loss.
