The built-in undervoltage release (UVR) drops the breaker when line voltage falls below the dropout threshold, which is common in emergency-stop circuits or mains monitoring schemes.
This MCCB delivers 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 36 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. For a 480 V panel (common in North America), the 36 kA at 440 V figure is the closest published rating; the actual SCCR at 480 V will sit between the 415 V and 440 V curves. Verify coordination with the upstream transformer impedance before committing the BOM line.
Thermal derating and panel fill
Above that, derating is linear: 194 A at 55 °C, 188 A at 60 °C, 182 A at 65 °C, 176 A at 70 °C. Dimensions are 105 mm wide × 158 mm high × 70 mm deep, which is the standard 3-pole SENTRON 3VA footprint; it occupies three 35 mm DIN-rail modules.
Release and accessory configuration
The undervoltage release (UVR) is factory-installed; its order code is 3VA9608-0BB25. There is no auxiliary contact block, no ground-fault module, no communication function, and no voltage-trip or shunt-trip option on this variant. The basic switch assembly carries the code 3VA12206EF320AA0. If you need remote signaling or GF protection, this is not the variant — step up to the 3VA1 with the appropriate suffix.
No successor has been announced. For a line-down replacement, this is a straight drop-in for any panel originally built with the 3VA1220-6EF32-0DA0.
