It lands on a busbar connection via front terminals, which means the panel layout needs busbar stubs planned ahead; this isn't a cable-in/cable-out block.
Thermal derating and service life
At 55 °C it derates to 243 A, at 60 °C to 237 A, at 65 °C to 230 A, and at 70 °C to 223 A. That's a clean linear curve — no sudden drop-off, so you can push ambient to 60 °C and still carry 237 A continuous. The mechanical service life is 15 000 operating cycles typical, which is standard for a frame this size; if the application cycles more than once per shift, budget for a motor drive accessory (the design supports one).
Auxiliary switching and alarm
It ships with one auxiliary switch and one trip alarm switch, both HP (high-performance) contacts — 2 CO contacts total. If you need remote tripping, you'll order a different build state or add an external release later.
Voltage ratings and environmental limits
That covers most 400 V and 480 V distribution systems with headroom. The front face is IP40 — protected against tools and wires over 1 mm, but not sealed against dust ingress.
