It's a straight disconnect — no overload or short-circuit protection built in, so it's used where isolation and switching are the job, not fault interruption. The shunt trip (left side, 208–277 V AC 50/60 Hz or 220–250 V DC) lets you drop the load remotely, and the four auxiliary changeover switches give you status feedback for the PLC or annunciator.
The shunt trip coil is rated for both AC (208–277 V) and DC (220–250 V), so it works across common control voltages without a separate power supply. Four auxiliary changeover contacts give you two normally-open and two normally-closed mirror contacts — enough to signal 'open' and 'closed' to a controller and still have spares for interlocks.
Integration note
The shunt trip and auxiliary switch are factory-fitted on the left side, so no field wiring of the trip coil is needed beyond the control circuit.
