The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1225-1AA42-0KC0 is a 4-pole switch disconnector built in the MCCB frame format — rated for 250 A continuous current (Iu) and 690 V AC / 600 V DC maximum operational voltage. It provides visible-break isolation for a load circuit without overcurrent or short-circuit protection, so it is the disconnect ahead of a downstream protected feeder or a motor branch. The 250 A frame size suits larger sub-distribution boards, industrial machine infeed sections, or UPS bypass paths where you need a service-rated switch, not a breaker.
The 690 V AC and 600 V DC maximum operational voltages mean it can isolate circuits at common industrial voltage levels, including 400/480 V three-phase and 500 V DC bus systems. Short-time withstand is 3 kA for 0.5 s and 1 s (the part can hold closed under fault current for that duration to allow a downstream breaker to clear).
Integrated shunt trip and auxiliary contacts
