What this 3VA1 breaker is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1332-6MH32-0AB0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 400 circuit breaker with a breaking capacity class H — meaning it can interrupt 70 kA at 415 V without damage to itself or downstream gear. The TM120M thermal-magnetic trip unit is set for starter protection, with a rated current In of 320 A and adjustable short-circuit pickup Ii from 8 to 16 times In. This variant ships without overload protection (the TM120M provides only magnetic short-circuit protection), so it's intended for use in combination with a separate overload relay or motor protection device upstream.
Mounting and integration
The breaker mounts on a standard DIN rail inside a panel. The nut keeper kit is included, which holds the busbar nuts in place during assembly — saves time when you're wiring a multi-breaker lineup. Two auxiliary switch changeover contacts are built in, so you can signal the breaker status to a PLC or annunciator without adding external contact blocks.
