It's rated 400 A continuously at 40 °C, with thermal derating starting at 55 °C — 392 A at 55 °C, 384 A at 60 °C, 376 A at 65 °C, and 367 A at 70 °C (–). Breaking capacity is 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. At 240 V that's a very high interrupt rating — suitable for large transformer-fed or generator-fed fault currents where standard 65 kA or 100 kA MCCBs would need upstream fusing.
Integration and Physical Fit
That 110 mm depth is standard for this frame size — fits most 400 A MCCB panel cutouts and busbar arrangements without a deep enclosure. The 138 mm width means it occupies three pole spaces on a DIN-rail or panel-mount base. Rated insulation voltage 800 V.
Auxiliary and Accessory Provisions
Comes with 1 auxiliary switch + 1 trip alarm switch HQ. Trip indicator is present. If you need shunt trip, UVR, or comms, this base variant doesn't carry them — you'd add external accessories or step to a different order code. The supplied basic switch is 3VA13406EF320AA0.
