Breaking capacity — the real selectivity number
Rated breaking capacity varies sharply with system voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 76 kA at 500 V, and 11.9 kA at 690 V.
If the enclosure runs hot — say a packed switchboard at 55 °C — you're at 488 A continuous, not 500. That matters for a non-interruptible feeder. Panel cut-out and busbar spacing match the 3VA platform; a panel built for a 3VA1110 will accept this physically, but the 500 A rating and TM240 release are a different trip curve and current level.
